Join us as we hear from our guest Speaker Ethan Newman – Solving the Brians Mystery
Ethan Newnham is a budding Neuroscientist from the University of Melbourne and was one of 13 students selected for the Master’s in Neuroscience at Oxford University. Without any funding to support his studies, Ethan applied for Rotary Global Grant Scholarship and was recently selected as a successful recipient.
From Ethan:
I’m excited to meet with you and share my fascination for the brain!
Since my high school philosophy class, I’ve grappled with life’s big questions. Caring for my grandmother as she fights Parkinson’s Disease has solidified my goal of understanding the brain – it’s a fascinating philosophical field that also has real impact on each of our lives.
During our time together, I’ll share my story and my upcoming journey to Oxford to chase answers to the brain’s mysteries: how does the brain allow us to experience our world, and how can we treat neurological illness? I’ll also give you an inside look into the incredible scientific research going on right now, right here in Melbourne.
