Ticket price is $85 per person. ($80 for Rotarians)\, This includes a preview of the exhibition and first option to purchase any exhibit. \nAn admission fee of $10 per person ($5 concession) will be charged to view the exhibition from Thursday 26 October to Sunday 29 October 2023. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a very special guest evening with guest speaker- Frida Umuhoza \nIn 1994 Frida Umuhoza survived the genocide of Tutsi people in Rwanda. Frida‘s story is a confronting one\, persecuted from childhood for her ethnicity\, the traumatic loss of her entire family\, and then living alongside her persecutors in the aftermath of the nationwide genocide. \nFrida was the only survivor of her family\, now married to Rob van der Zaag and the couple has seven children. She graduated from Bowling Green State University Firelands Campus in the State of Ohio with a bachelor’s degree of Arts in Communication. Frida has shared her story of miraculous survival\, God’s grace\, the power of forgiveness\, inner healing and resilience around the world including\, Africa\, Europe\, America and Australia. Frida is also a key note speaker at high schools\, universities\, churches\, business and not for profit organizations and various women groups.\n\nFrida spoke at the UN Headquarters in New York during the 2016 Annual Commemoration of the Rwanda genocide against the Tutsis. DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin us for our Community Grants Presentation night as we celebrate and hear from local community leaders as they tell us about their work supporting our local community. \nEach year the Rotary Club of Box Hill Burwood supports local community groups within our locale through our Community Grants Program.\nGrants assist local groups to provide necessary services that benefit our local community. \nRecipients will be presenting information about their projects which have been succesful in our 2023 Community Grants round. \nMeeting in the Upton Room\, Box Hill RSL \n6pm for 6:15pm start\, 16th May 2023 \n  \nDinner is available in the RSL Bistro however non Rotary club members will need to book separately if they wish to have dinner following the meeting \n
