SUMMARY:Guest Speaker - October 20th Kate McKenzie -Bridge It
DESCRIPTION:Join us on October 20th to hear from Kate McKenzie from Bridge It. \nBridge It is a Melbourne-based charity helping to end youth homelessness by providing young women and gender-diverse people aged 16–21 with a safe home\, supportive community\, and practical life skills. \n\nThrough its flagship program\, The Cocoon\, Bridge It supports young people who have experienced homelessness or out-of-home care. With demand continuing to grow\, the charity is preparing to open Cocoon 2 in November\, expanding its capacity to support more young people. As Bridge It receives no government funding for this program\, its work relies on the generosity of donors\, businesses\, and community supporters. \n\nDate: Tuesday 20th October Time: 6:15 PM for 6.30 PM start \nGuests welcome \nAn optional dinner is available in the Bistro following the meeting.
